One of the highlights of this yearās Kiwanis Midwinter Conference will be the impact our Alabama clubs can make together through a statewide Food Drive benefiting Backyard Blessings, a grantee of the Walker Area Community Foundation.
Backpack Blessings provides weekend food backpacks for children experiencing food insufficiency ā ensuring they have nourishment when school meals arenāt available.
Every club can participate ā whether youāre attending Midwinter Conference or not!
We are asking each member to donate one (or more of course) of the following items:
⢠Individual Instant Grits Packets
⢠Cans of Chicken Noodle Soup
If members of your club are attending Midwinter, please send your donations with them. If not, contact your Lt. Governor to coordinate delivery through a neighboring club.
When Kiwanis shows up, we show up strong. Letās come together across Alabama and make a tangible difference for children who need us most.
As part of our Alabama District Kiwanis Midwinter Conference, weāre turning Friday night into a full-blown, laugh-out-loud Adult Spelling Bee!
This isnāt your third-grade classroom Bee⦠This is after-dinner. This is competitive. This is Kiwanis-level fun.
⨠Test your vocabulary. ⨠Compete with fellow Kiwanians. ⨠Enjoy a few āwait⦠can you use that in a sentence?ā moments. ⨠Earn ultimate bragging rights for the year.
Whether youāre a wordsmith, a confident guesser, or just coming to cheer from the audience ā this is going to be a highlight of Midwinter.
Study up⦠or donāt. Either way, Friday night is going to be spell-tacular.
